Description

Wever (?): Ballonhulen 1918. Barrage balloon with Iron Cross makings is pictured floating above the factory Ballonhulen Gesellschaft.  Steel cables slung beneath barrage balloons, fixing them to the ground, were lethal to pilots. A smaller balloon labeled Templehof, the name of Berlin’s airport, makes this barrage balloon part of Berlin’s defense. Insert in the prestigious magazine Motor. 13×9 mint, matted and shrink wrapped.
