Paus: Join the Navy. A Sailor carrying a large American flag marches past a stone monument upon which the words America Advances are etched. This monument, only the bottom of which is visible, shows a crouching eagle and a large stone figure’s feet clad in sandals of the type that the ancient Greek and Romans wore in classical times which must be a reference to the endurance of western cultural tradition. Very rare. 44×31 near mint, conservation backed.
