Exceptionally fine rare prewar recruiting poster shows a smartly dressed artillery crew manning a gleaming coastal gun on a tropical post. The army was involved in the Caribbean as a result of Teddy Roosevelt’s ‘Manifest Destiny’ policy that supplied a rationale for action in our hemisphere.
