Thomason Let’s Go 1942. With a broad sweep of his free arm, a Marine sergeant is pictured gesturing to us hoping that we will be caught up in the enthusiasm that his powerful stride and cocky confidence generate. Thomason was himself a Marine and author of the postwar best seller “Fix Bayonets” a collection of stories about the Marines in France and occupied Germany. Thomason titled the painting for this poster “The Walker.” Scarce; small press run of 5000. 40×28 near mint, conservation backed.
