Albert Sterner America’s Gift to France 1920.  Glowing rays beam on young girl planting a white lily symbolizing the resurrection of France as children hold a laurel wreath symbolizing victory. .  The girl wears sabots, wooden clogs. Sabots was often thrown into new machinery during the Industrial Revolution.  Hence the word sabotage. Ruined medieval Cathedral backdrop reminds viewer rebuilding still urgent. Scarce.  30×20
