Description
Schreiber Fire Away! 1944. Standing up on a sub’s conning tower, a sailor is pictured usiing a megaphone to signal civilians to buy extra bonds. WWII fleet submarines were modeled after the Cuttlefish (1933), the first welded, rather than riveted, sub. This innovation made for a tighter, stronger hull. Uncommon in larger size. 40×28 near mint, conservation backed.
