Description

Meyer-Lahusen Freedom with Moscow? 1937. Fire engine red poster for a Nazi rally in Bremen. Red soldier is caricatured as not only a fiendish looking character but a dangerous firebrand.  Hitler viewed the Communists as his most dangerous opponents. Here a poster issued before the Molotov-Ribbentrop non-aggression pact of 1939 strangely alludes to what will soon happen. Hitler will invade Russia ignoring the notorious treaty. Very scarce. 34×33 mint, conservation backed.
