Forging ahead, Marianne, fashionably draped in a swirling red sheath, beats her sword into plowshares providing a visual example of the type of work that would be necessary to rebuild devastated regions of Northern France. The symbolic rays of a new dawn fill the background. Very rare. 47×32 near mint, conservation backed.
