Kidder: The First Three 1917. Cameo portraits of privates Hay, Gresham and Enright, the first Yanks to fall in battle. They were serving in the First Division, 16th Infantry, when they were killed in a firefight when a German raiding party overran their trench. Their portraits enshrined in laurel wreaths backed by rippling Old Glory. 27×20 near mint, conservation backed.
