Description
George Illian Keep It Coming 1918. Convoy of Jeffrey Quad trucks filled with life-saving food is seen chugging over snow-covered hills on its way to the front. Supply lines vital not only for American troops but civilians behind our lines. The simplicity of the design, in which the artist uses the blank paper to represent snow, adds to its effectiveness. The trucks crawl forward in a long, snaking line, past a soldier whose gesture not only directs the traffic but points toward the text. 30×20 near mint, conservation backed.
