Description
Gordon Grant Bureau for Returning Soldiers and Sailors 1919. One of the first posters with a labor theme. The artist shows a doughboy with his honorable discharge in his hand, going directly to the U.S. Employment Service bureau. The welcome mat was out as work was usually available. The war generated huge profits, boosting the economy. Philadelphia alone had multiple bureaus. Uncommon. 25×18 near mint, conservation backed.
