Emerson, Casper Jr: Help Them Keep War ar Savings Pledge 1918. Artist shows the viewer just what the proceeds from savings bonds could do for combat soldiers. War Savings Stamps are shown gradually reforming into live bullets feeding a Browning .30 caliber water-cooled machinegun. Bold graphic was borrowed from a British bond poster design. The concept was reused again in 1943 (see American World War II conservation – McClelland Barclay.) 30×20 near mint, conservation backed.
