John A. Coughlin Go Over the Top with the U.S. Marines 1917. Glowing poster of gung-ho leatherneck goes over the top with his M1917 Lewis gun as the American line surges across no-man’s-land. The machine gun came of age during the Great War; inflicting huge casualties. The Lewis featured a bipod and support, a 47 round ‘pan’ magazine and raised rear sight. 28×21 near mint, conservation backed.
