Description
Chavannaz National Loan 1918. Troops advance in the wake of a tank guided by Allied flags and the goddess of victory. Tanks were an effective weapon introduced in 1917. They were immediately able to crush barbed wire defenses. Grenades were ineffective against tanks unless they exploded underneath. Very rare. 32×4 near mint, conservation backed.
