Bardasanno July 16 1936 July 16 1937. Hard hitting poster commemorates the first year of civil war between the rebel Nationalists and the republican Loyalists. Here a soldier of the Republic batters a Nationalist seen reeling under the blow. Swastika armband worn by the National soldier indicates that the Nationalists were supplied by the Nazis during the 33 month long Civil War. Oddly this poster was printed anonymously during a war in the political parties waged a highly visible poster war. Posters issued by the Loyalists are super rare. . 39×27 near mint, conservation backed.
