The soldier was wearing several German watches but the evidence of this larceny was expunged by the Russian censor. This triumphant pose was typical of Soviet war photography. A parade of T-34 tanks and trucks carrying men is welcomed by the local population as it pours down Main Street unopposed. The T-34 had a top speed of 32 MPH and carried an 88 mm cannon. It was the first tank with sloped armor to deflect bullets. 34×23 near mint, conservation backed.
