Artist unknown Moscow the Nest of Bolshevism Is in German Hands c.1943. Extremely rare poster issued in German occupied Poland claims erroneously that Moscow has already fallen to the Germans. A German soldier is pictured standing triumphantly over a dead Red Army soldier who has a bloody dagger in his dead hand. In reality the Russians ultimately defeated the Germans. There is a good possibility that this poster is a unique survivor. This image is the essence of propaganda: The Germans never made it to Moscow. 36×49 near mint, conservation backed.
