Artist Unknown Are You Trained to Defend Your Country? Plattsburg 1915. The preparedness movement gained importance on the east coast. The Plattsburg barracks became a training site for a four-week course for officers in 1915. Attendees included important ‘influencers’, Theorore Roosevelt’s sons, Quentin and Theodore Roosevelt, Jr., the Mayor of New York City and the influential editor of the New York Times who publicized the efforts. 27×20 near mint, conservation backed.
