Beall: Now…All Together 1945. Marines raise the flag above bloody Mt. Suribachi, key to victory on the tiny island of Iwo Jima where 6,000 Marines died. This famous image of the war in the Pacific was based on an AP photo. Only two of the six men struggling to raise the stars and stripes survived the battle. 38×25 near mint, conservation baked.
