Description
McClelland Barclay Dish It Out with the Navy 1942. Sailors shown loading a torpedo tube in poster offering recruits a chance to choose where they served before their fate was decided by the draft. After taking it at Pearl Harbor, the Navy was more than ready to dish it out. Job training was just an added benefit. Barclay was a naval reservist called to active duty in 1940 although he was almost 50. The year after this poster was issued Barclay was killed in action when his ship was torpedoed in the Solomon Sea. Rarely found in pristine condition with coated surface intact. 42×28 near mint, conservation backed.
