Description
Crocker and Roberts: Buy a Government Bond of the Second Liberty Loan 1917. A brother and sister ask a nattily dressed young man to buy a government bond which is part of the Second Liberty Loan. He replies that he will and enlist in the military as well. This is an early Liberty Loan. Several more were to follow. Even after the war ended in November 1918, the government wasn’t finished with its massive loan demands. A final Loan, the Victory Loan Campaign was created in order to bring the doughboys back home. Seems that no one had thought of that earlier. Scarce; new to us. 44×31 near mint, conservation backed.
