Paul Verrees Join the Air Service and Serve in France 1917. As a spotter scans the sky, a Curtiss Jenny swoops low, its daring pilot silhouetted by cumulus clouds. Richly textured in sumptuous red, white and blue. Verrees, a Belgian soldier-artist, was wounded and invalided to America where he produced outstanding posters. 37×25 near mint conservation backed.
