Artist Unknown Vinnytsia c.1943. Vinnytsia, occupied by German troops in July 1941, was a site of intense Nazi atrocities and home to Hitler’s ‘Werwolf’ bunker (1942–43). Nearly all the Jewish population was massacred by Einsatzgruppe C. Jews was killed in 1937 and again in 1942. Poster features a Soviet killer depicted with monstrous Semitic features taking aim at the viewer. A photmontage of women gazing sadly at heaps of corpses is seen below. German propaganda meant to instill fear. Very very rare, the viciousness still amazes. 33×24 near mint, conservation backed.
